Track the small amounts you owe your children. Give or take money with quick buttons, and share a private ledger with another parent if you choose.

Description

Kid Money is a simple ledger for parents who track money assigned to their children. It records amounts owed; it does not hold or transfer money.

Create a child, choose Give or Take, and tap an amount on that child’s card. Choose up to six quick amounts that fit your family, or enter a different amount and an optional note in the child’s history. An All Children card lets you apply one adjustment to every active child. Each balance is calculated from its transaction history using exact cents.

Your ledger works on your iPhone without a Kid Money account. If you choose to enable family sharing, Kid Money uploads the ledger to your private iCloud storage so you can invite another adult to view and edit it from their own Apple Account. Changes can be made offline and synchronize when connectivity returns. Sharing is optional; it is not enabled merely by opening the app.

Kid Money also provides optional Shortcuts and Siri actions. Spoken requests may require clarification or app selection because Siri’s routing is controlled by iOS.

Kid Money does not connect to bank accounts, make payments, provide financial advice, or create accounts for children. The app currently supports US dollars.

Review notes draft

Kid Money is a parent-operated ledger. It does not connect to financial institutions or transfer money. No Kid Money login is required. To review on one phone, create a child, use the Give/Take quick buttons on the main screen, inspect the child’s history, enter an arbitrary adjustment, then terminate and relaunch to check persistence. Optional family sharing uses the user’s iCloud Apple Account and an invitation to a second adult; the one-phone ledger does not require iCloud setup. Siri and Shortcuts are optional and not needed to review the core workflow.
